At the mouth of Cold Water Canyon, between Lake Elsinore and Corona, in the hidden Temescal Valley off the freeway lies the naturally beautiful and tranquil Glen Ivy Hot Springs. The beautiful forest surrounding the area allows the water to flow naturally from deep in the earth, thus creating a natural sanctuary. This area known for it’s serenity is truly a respite from the outside world. Glen Ivy Hot Springs has attracted people who seek the benefits of nature, water and exercise, and the pleasures of good food and camaraderie with others. A day at Glen Ivy is a day of relaxation, renewal, and overall well-being. It’s perfect for bachelorette parties, girls days out, special occasions, mothers day, or even a couples retreat (my husband absolutely loved it and wants to go back).

“With spacious outdoor pools and a year-round temperate climate, every visit is an opportunity for guests to rediscover a connection with themselves, with each other, and with the world around them. Stretching across a dozen acres of lush gardens, the spa also features California’s only therapeutic red clay mineral bath, aptly named “Club Mud,” The Grotto, a unique body moisturizing spa treatment enjoyed alone or with friends, and the Ivy Kitchen, where guests delight in healthy spa cuisine prepared by Glen Ivy’s Executive Chef. Guests can enjoy an extensive menu of treatments and therapies in the Spa Salon, Massage Village, or in the South Massage area. All of our massage and skin care services feature exquisite European products from Comfort Zone. Whether it’s a soothing soak in the mineral baths, or a special day to celebrate with friends and family in one of our Ivy Terrace Cabanas, Glen Ivy Hot Springs is a place to do things that are good for the body and good for the soul, which is why we often hear guests say “I just love how I feel when I’m here.” -glenivy.com

Glen Ivy Hot Springs has been named Best Spa and Best Spa Cuisine in Inland Empire Magazine and Best Day Spa by American Spa Magazine, Parenting OC Magazine, the Press Enterprise, and the Orange County Register as well as #1 attraction by TripAdvisor. In 2017, Glen Ivy was the winner of the Best Luxury Mineral Spring Spa in North America from the World Luxury Spa Awards and was also awarded one of Spas of America’s Top Spas in 2017.

Most of the pools, spas, fitness classes and areas are included with admission (including Club Mud, California’s only red clay spring); however for additional services you do need a reservation and to pay extra. However, even without the additional services you can easily spend an entire, enjoyable day there.

Some tips to planning your day at Glen Ivy.

  • Make your first stop the bath house to get a locker, leave valuables and grab a towel. Maps and site information are provided upon entry. The top notch changing rooms are equipped with showers, bathrooms, steam and sauna room, private spas, as well as amenities like lotion, shampoo and condition, Qtips and hairdryers, etc.
  • Don’t bring snacks as they are not permitted; although you can and should have a refillable water bottle
  • Do leave a card on file so you don’t need to carry around money or valuables as you make your way around the property
  • Do plan to pamper yourself with an extra- I recommend The Grotto, the underground oasis (although you really can’t go wrong with a massage or facial either; and there are some packages which include these)
  • Don’t bring a towel as they are provided
  • Do bring your own robe; otherwise you will have to rent one for $20
  • Don’t wear a bathing suit that you don’t want to get messy- wear one that if the mud stains a bit won’t make you sad
  • Do definitely go to Club Mud and get all muddy!
  • Do bring sunscreen, sunglasses, a book, sandals in a beach bag you can carry with you-and a change of clothes for the end of the day so you can enjoy the showers there
  • Do plan on eating lunch there. The food and drinks are healthy and delicious!
  • Don’t wear jewelry due to the mineral bath- speaking of which…
  • Do go in the mineral baths (you’ll know them by their smell)
  • Do the hot and cold baths- sounds weird but it really does make you feel good and invigorated
  • Do go during the week to avoid more crowded weekends (and it does get really crowded FYI)

Check out the different treatments here. And for prices and packages head here. We’ve done the summer evening package in the past and loved that too.

With guaranteed relaxation, there is absolutely no reason you should not take the time to treat yourself at Glen Ivy Hot Springs Day Spa! It’s truly a unique experience in sunny Southern California!
