Ahoy there, me hearties, have I got a treasure for ye in Orange County!

If you are a fan of Disney’s: Pirate’s of the Caribbean, then you are going to love the Newport Beach Pirate House located close to the Balboa Peninsula. Thanks to a local scallywag who has created an entire plundering village in their front yard, you get to reap the bounty of enjoyment from exploring this hidden Socal gem.

So next time you are looking for fun things to do with kids in Orange County, abandon ship and take in this wonder by walking around and enjoying it all! Find characters hanging off rooftops, canons, and even pirates walking the plank of the deck on the canal out back. There is so much to take in and it’s all pretty remarkable. There are wenches, captains, skeletons, and some that even look a lot like Jack Sparrow and Captain Hook. Davey Jones would be hard pressed to find something better in all the the high seas. (I’ve heard, though I can’t confirm, that if you get the chance to see this house from the water, there is even more to see).

I don’t know the reason behind this house and the owner who created it all, but what I do know is that it is something you definitely should check out if you are in the area. Especially if you have kids who love all things pirate, then this pirate house in Southern California is just right for you!
