Universal Studios is back with their Christmas festivities! Make this year memorable as you and your family add a new tradition by joining in with the citizens of Whoville. Meet the Grinch and his trusty companion Max and watch the impressive light show at the Hogwarts castle all happening now through December 29th. Christmas at Universal Studios Hollywood is unbelievably cool!
The Grinchmas seasonal Who-bilation and Who-lidays is happening again. Guests can enter Whoville and mix and mingle with different Whos; think the mayor, cheerleaders, the librarian, and even Cindy Lou Who, the Grinch and Max. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you might have your face burped in by the Grinch… there are no guarantees what is going to happen (I am speaking from experience here). But, I can almost guarantee you’ll laugh (also speaking from experience).
And make sure to stay and watch the lighting of the Whoville Tree. The tree stands 55 ft high, and lights up nightly with over 1000 lights. The big finale finds you standing in the middle of a snow flurry. It is pure entertainment and magic! You might even feel your heart grow three times while watching this! The kids loved it. The adults loved it. Max the dog I’m sure loved it.
After meeting the Grinch (you’ve got to meet the Grinch, he’s hilarious!) head over and join the merriment of a transformed Hogsmead Village with it’s holiday decor and enchantment! You’ll be astounded watching the Hogwarts Castle dance with projected colors, light, and magic that ends as the night sky lights up with fireworks! This is truly a dazzling spectacle.
Our family spent time watching the Hogwarts Acapella Choir, and their singing frogs entertain on the stage outside the castle. Their holiday themed songs fascinated my kids with all the magic you can find in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. In all the fun to be found in the park, the rides, shows, etc. this was one of the highlights of our day and the one thing that stood out for my kids. Who would have guessed?
Plus, have you tried hot butterbeer? We’ve always gone with frozen, because it’s that good. But, to stay in the spirit of Christmas, we decided to dine in the Three Broomsticks and order a hot butterbeer and holy smokes, my socks were knocked off! So delicious, it was like drinking a Werther’s Original. In fact, our family is now split between the hot and frozen. Have you tried either, or both? Because, if you haven’t, I know what you should do next time you take a break in Hogsmead Village.
Hogsmead Village all decked out for the holidays is truly as magical as you imagine it being in the Harry Potter Books. It will transform you into the world you always dreamed of being a part of every time you flip open the pages of those spellbinding novels.
The entire park is all decked out for the holidays. Minions in Santa hats, lights everywhere you look, and even the Universal City Walk will be ready for you to come and celebrate. All of this is included with your entrance ticket. To learn more or purchase your own fun day head to UniveraslStudiosHollywood.com. This is a sure way to get into the spirit of the holidays!
