Check out this old fashioned candy store located in Ontario California during Christmas to bend your own hot candy cane.
We’ve all seen those vintage pictures of kid’s with their noses and cheeks smooshed up to the window of an old timey shop. A ruddy faced child holding his mom’s hand and a giant lollipop in the other. Well, all this and maybe even the song “the candy man” will run through your head as you enter this old fashioned ma and pa run shop located in Ontario, Ca. It is sugar, and spice and all things nice, wholesome, family friendly and especially festive .
Logan’s Candy is indeed a candy shop who has been blessing the community with homemade candy since 1933, but it is most well known for their FREE Christmas candy-cane making demonstrations they hold each and every year. These nightly demonstrations starting in November (and the list fills up as early as July) is totally worth standing shoulder to shoulder with strangers- nose pressed to the glass.

While watching someone make candy canes may not sound all that interesting being inside the building, smelling the peppermint, watching the colors and textures change, and each hand made candy cane be formed is truly one the ULTIMATE ways to get into the Christmas spirit.

Reservations for groups like field trips have to be made by Sept 1 (or earlier). But, you can come by any night they are doing the demonstrations; feel free to cozy up with your neighbor and watch with the community.
Insiders Note: They make homemade candy canes year round for many of the major holidays (we love bending hearts with the hot candy canes at Valentine’s Day) and you can watch the demonstration then as well… and you might be part of just a handful of viewers off season.
