Many people are looking for a laid back, easy Spring Break idea that won’t require too much travel, planning and money. If you find yourself in one or all of the categories above, take notes. Because I am about to give you a great hotel option found right here in beautiful sunny Southern California.

Hotel Solarena a Best Western Premier Collection Boutique Hotel is located at one of my all time favorite beach cities, Newport Beach California. This hotel is all about the laid back, beachy lifestyle.

You can find Hotel Solarena located on the Pacific Coast Highway between the Newport Beach Pier and the Huntington Beach Pier; meaning there are plenty of options for food, shopping and FUN! While it may not be the fanciest option in the area, it is very affordable is located in a fabulous location and has everything you need!

Amenities

Hotel Solarena is the ultimate hub for travelers wanting to experience the best of Orange County. Here you can relax in one of their clean, classy, casual rooms featuring a laid-back vibe and cool style inspired by the beach. Did I mention the beach is directly across the street — just 99 steps away!? Because it doesn’t get much better than that. Except for the fact the hotel has made even a day at the beach easier by providing sand toys, towels, and beach chairs to rent complimentary through the small resort fee. Just head down to the lobby, grab what you need, and enjoy a sunny day lounging or playing in the sand and surf.

And if you want to explore and see more of the area, you can enjoy complimentary bike rentals. For 1 hour you can take 2 bikes out and be part of the beach scene right outside your door.

Rooms

Each room is designed with your comfort and convenience in mind. The newly renovated rooms are simply decorated with modern features to provide the ultimate So Cal vibe. However, they have all the good stuff you might need and expect to find. Enjoy the comfy bed, flat screen TV with premium cable, free WiFi, coffeemaker, mini-refrigerator and air conditioning. Plus, select rooms have small balconies looking over PCH to the sea. And pick the room to fit your family from the 47 guestroom options. From one king or queen bed, to 2-queens or 2-doubles, and for large families (like ours) enjoy 2- queen beds plus a full sized trundle. We were so comfortable in here and enjoyed the room to the fullest. To book your room now here now! My only complaint is the walls are kind of thin, but then again, we sleep with a sound machine so that was not an issue for us.

Perfect room for families, located right next to the beach, complimentary beach toys, bike rentals, putting, and outdoor play areas.

Hotel Features

Imagine waking up and opening the blackout curtains (because they work wonders) to reveal a bright sunshiny day, and the smell of the ocean on the soft breeze. Take a 2-minute walk across the street and find yourself on a sandy beach, with waves crashing on the shore. Head back to the hotel to enjoy a *hot breakfast waiting for you. After you eat, head over to the secluded pool to enjoy a dip in the cool water and lounge for a while. Enjoy the small 5-hole putting green the hotel has on property or play a fun game of connect 4 on the oversized game area or grab some sand toys, a towel and chair from the front office and play at the beach for a while. It might be a good idea to check out the area around the hotel; the bay, parks, good food, and more by taking out the bikes on property for an hour. Come back to the hotel, clean up and rest. That evening walk the 2 minutes back across the street to take in the sunset. Afterwards, you have your choice of restaurants, shopping, entertainment and more due to the many options all around you as you enjoy the best of Orange County!!!
