Discover Your Superhero at the Discovery Cube in Orange County
It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s at The Discovery Cube! Are you ready to battle crime, figure out the Riddler’s riddles in order to solve mysteries and hone your hero skills by working together to save the city? At the Discovery Cube, you’ll get to explore the Hall of Justice and maybe even meet Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman or one of your other favorite DC Superhero’s along the way. My entire family had the BEST time exploring the Orange County Discovery Cube’s DC Superhero exhibit. In fact, I think my 36-year-old child may have enjoyed it the most as he kept disappearing while playing games and running around finding…

Free and Cheap Date Ideas in LA
As parents to 4 young kids, it is important essential, to keep that romantic spark alive and going. We are huge proponents of “dating your spouse!” Yet we tend to be boooooring when we date. Like the typical dinner and a movie. But it is usually just the movie. And sometimes it’s just a movie at home in our jammies. But who really watches movies when you can re-watch The Office for the 9th time? However, we also enjoy a good full day out in the “city”—otherwise known as L.A. (when we can get away from the kids for that long with babysitters and work and well, life). When we…

How to Spend a Day in Irvine Regional Park
We were hosted by Irvine Park Rentals but all opinions and statements are ours. We were lucky enough to have a Saturday completely open. With 4 young kids who play sports, and a husband that is a Realtor, that never happens?!So, since the stars were aligned, we decided to hit up a Southern Californiahot-spot we have heard nothing but great things about, but have never been to. Irvine Regional Park was everything we had hoped for and more. I am not quite sure what I had envisioned when hearing about Irvine Regional Park, but it wasn’t what we experienced. I guess I just imagined a really cool “park” with some…

Good Remedy For Anxiety
In the last few years I have struggled with a bit of anxiety. Since the birth of my last baby (#4), it has amplified significantly. I don’t like to share these struggles with too many people… and I say that as I write this on a public social media post. I know, the irony is not lost on me. I also know that admitting this does not make me weak, or broken. In fact, while I am a person who doesn’t like to admit weakness, my struggles make me very normal. I don’t know statistics and facts about the subject, though I bet with a quick google search I could…

Where to Go Whale Watching in Orange County
One of the best perks of living in (or visiting) Southern California is of course the beach. We love the beach! The weather is almost always perfect and the scenery is beautiful; which is why everyone goes there. And it is a sure way to make kids happy, even if they do have sand coming out of who knows where for the following three days. But, we do the typical beach day a lot. So, this spring break we decided to branch out from the normal and do something new. Or, I should say new for everyone but me. Whale watching! I went when I was a teenager, but the…

Let’s Play in the Mud! Kid’s Outdoor Obstacle Course Race
Prado Regional Park, Chino Ca This was such a great way to get kids outside, get active and have a whole lotta fun doing it! We were lucky enough to take our two older kids (as the race was age 6+) to Prado Regional Park a couple of weeks ago in Chino to participate in the Kids Obstacle Course. Like always we were running a bit behind schedule that morning, which was such a bummer because there was so much fun to do before the race started. We were able to hustle through and do the majority of activities available before our run and finished the rest after. The activities…

What’s Free on My Birthday???
Check out these amazing birthday freebies!!! Who doesn’t want to “treat yo’self” on your birthday? Thank you Tom Haverford and Donna for those wise words of wisdom. Actually, this is kind of where the whole idea for this blog was born. My birthday and Wes’ (my hubby’s) birthday land a mere 6 days apart. We are people who like a good deal. And fortunately for us, birthdays provide plenty of opportunities for that. We love the freebies, no strings attached, free thing. On occasion we will take advantage of a BOGO deal or //fill in the blank// dollars towards whatever it is we are buying. But, we became pros at…
