The All New Jurassic World—The Ride at Universal Studios
I have to admit, I was a bit bummed when I found out Universal Studios was closing Jurassic Park the ride to give it a face lift. It was still a decent ride to me, and we had passes to the park and wouldn’t be able to ride it for the remainder of our time there. Sure it has seen better days in the last 20 plus years, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. With that said, we recently rode the new Jurassic World ride and I am SO GLAD they redid it. It is definitely an upgraded attraction! Jurassic World the ride took the best parts of the old…

Aquarium of the Pacific
Long Beach, Ca If you haven’t been to the Aquarium in a while, it’s time to go back. And if you’ve never been, what are you waiting for?! Founded in 1998, the Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the most visited aquariums in all the U.S. The aquarium has more than 50 exhibits with over 11,000 animals represented from all over the world. This year they expanded and added nearly 29,000 square feet of interactive and innovative space with the new Pacific Visions Wing. The new wing features hands on exhibits, an art gallery that transports visitors under the sea, live animals, and my personal favorite a state of…

Quality Live Entertainment at the Extraordinary Candlelight Pavilion
Recently we attended the production of Peter Pan at The Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont, California in the Inland Empire. The Candlelight Pavilion is in essence dinner theater. Providing guests with exceptional gourmet food prepared by executive chefs and served by a formal wait staff. It is a delicious fine dining experience for all. Get there early and while you enjoy your wonderful meal you will be entertained by a guitarist who is as talented as the actors. We lucked out at this particular show to have not only the regular guitarist but a flutist accompany him. The music truly provides a wonderful ambiance as we chatted and enjoyed our fancy…

12 Strategies For a Successful Road Trip with Kids
Recently we packed up our 4 young kids (ages 8, 6, 3, and 1) and headed out on a 16-hour road trip from Southern California to the Oregon Coast. My kids are no strangers to long drives. I mean we live in the traffic capital of the world and love to get out and go; so, to an extent they are use to long bouts in the car. However, when I say long drives our typical trip usually maxes out at about 5 hours. So, to triple that amount had me a little anxious. Mostly about the baby and toddler. So, we prepared as best we could, held our breath…

Redding: Home to the World’s Largest Sundial
Being a born and raised Southern California girl, I am not all that familiar with Northern California. So, when our family was planning a trip to Oregon, we knew we needed to stay overnight somewhere along the way. We had no idea where to stop, and therefore started doing some research to find out where the best place to stay was in Northern California for a family. And let me tell you, I found the answer; Redding, California! By the time we were done with our stay, I was ready to pack up and move! No, like seriously, I was googling home values. P.S. it’s really affordable. Redding is located…

The Wonderful Land of Oz At The San Diego County Fair
The 2019 San Diego County Fair is absolutely “Oz-some!” The theme this year of the fair is based off of L. Frank Baum’s ‘The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” and it is absolutely adorable in every way! And, can you see what I did up there with “Oz-some?” As we meandered through the fair, we thoroughly enjoyed the themed characters we ran into, the classic decorations and movie posters, as well as the activities available at certain times; bummed we missed a few too. The fair is the perfect place to spend a summer night with the whole family! What to do at the fair? Watch the pig races, see dogs…

Catch the Storm Play Ball in Lake Elsinore
“Take me out to the ballgame, take me out to the crowd……” Summer and baseball are two things that go hand in hand. Sitting under the bright stadium lights on a cool summer night. The smell of hotdogs and popcorn wafting through the air. Cheers, and music enveloping you as you root, root, root for the home team. A baseball game is all good things summer is and has to offer; and our family was lucky enough to spend a magical evening with the Elsinore Storm this summer. The Storm is all the best parts of baseball without the traffic, crowds, and spending a small fortune on tickets, parking. and…
