The Best Halloween Costumes for Couples
My husband and I love to dress up. We love using what is popular in the media to draw ideas from. And we love to make people laugh. So, Halloween is the perfect excuse to have fun and be creative! Here are some of our best couples costumes from years past and an explanation of how you can recreate these for yourself. You can do these as friends, and of course add characters and others in to make them into group Halloween costumes too. DIY Couples Costumes: Jack (Jack in the Box) and Hamburger: I would have ultimately wanted just a hamburger but back in the olden days (early 2000s)…

DIY Halloween Costumes for Groups Sure to Impress
Fall is such a fun time of the year for so many reasons. There is apple picking, hay rides, pumpkin patches and beautiful changing colors in the world all around. But, ask any kid why Fall is the best, and almost without fail the answer will be “Halloween!” Now, for many of us parents, it’s enough time, money and effort just to get our kids dressed up and ready for the night. And then throw in allllllll the activities leading up to the actual day, and by the 31st we are over it! Forget about us getting dressed up. And trust me, I am guilty of throwing on ears and…

My oldest plays the flute with her school band, has soccer 3 days a week, church activities she attends with kids her own age, friends, homework, etc. My second daughter has music lessons every week, plays on a different soccer team 3 times a week (which I also coach), and her school work. With over 3.5 million fossils having been found there, this place is definitely somewhere you want to check out when you are in town. What National Day is Today?
Doesn’t it seem like there is a “national //fill in the blank// day everyday now? And can I be honest? I LOVE IT! If you are like me and love celebrating and finding the fun in ordinary days, the website, National Today, is for you. I check in most days to see what the national day is and find a way to incorporate that into our mundane lives and spice it up a bit. It’s like celebrating a holiday everyday but without the pomp, gifts and stress that usually go along with those big holidays. My kids LOVE celebrating even the simplest days and are extra happy when it happens…

The All New Jurassic World—The Ride at Universal Studios
I have to admit, I was a bit bummed when I found out Universal Studios was closing Jurassic Park the ride to give it a face lift. It was still a decent ride to me, and we had passes to the park and wouldn’t be able to ride it for the remainder of our time there. Sure it has seen better days in the last 20 plus years, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. With that said, we recently rode the new Jurassic World ride and I am SO GLAD they redid it. It is definitely an upgraded attraction! Jurassic World the ride took the best parts of the old…

Long Beach, Ca If you haven’t been to the Aquarium in a while, it’s time to go back. And if you’ve never been, what are you waiting for?! Founded in 1998, the Aquarium of the Pacific is one of the most visited aquariums in all the U.S. The aquarium has more than 50 exhibits with over 11,000 animals represented from all over the world. This year they expanded and added nearly 29,000 square feet of interactive and innovative space with the new Pacific Visions Wing. Quality Live Entertainment at the Extraordinary Candlelight Pavilion
Recently we attended the production of Peter Pan at The Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont, California in the Inland Empire. The Candlelight Pavilion is in essence dinner theater. Providing guests with exceptional gourmet food prepared by executive chefs and served by a formal wait staff. It is a delicious fine dining experience for all. Get there early and while you enjoy your wonderful meal you will be entertained by a guitarist who is as talented as the actors. We lucked out at this particular show to have not only the regular guitarist but a flutist accompany him. The music truly provides a wonderful ambiance as we chatted and enjoyed our fancy…
